Hi Jon the only thing I know of support being used for is lower back and abdominal injuries.

Them injuries have been linked to IBS through tension from injuries transferring to the stomach.

I've never herd of support belts being used for IBS caused from other means.

What is tapping ? Never herd of it

Still not sure what you mean could you explain it further what do you do with belt and for what reason is the belt given.

The only thing I can think if is perhaps a support belt for the tummy to some how relief pressure but I would imagine that not necessary if your waste line is not to big and your slim etc.

Still no idea what you mean by kinesio tapping could you explain more ty

Physio recommended the sort of belt that women wear when they are pregnant just provides a bit of support to the lower abdomen even if the majority of the pain is from inside the colon it still helps . Google maternity belts/

Re taping google  Kinesiology Tape for Pregnancy

Ah OK and thanks I would imagine it would provide support and ease pressure for pregnant women but i personaly I would be conserned for the pressure it may cause to the baby or the womb but Rhodes are my first immediate conserns to which I don't know if they are worth being conserned about but I would imagine pulling them to tight would be a consern

I hope you work it out sorry I can't be any more help bu

I find that extra pressure tends to increase the pain, but IBS is not a "one size fits all" ailment, so maybe it would work for you.

Yeah maybe Lol but I'll think I'll pass on that haha

I did ware a sports strap once when I torn my mussles in my stomach playing golf that offered excellent support so much so I could carry on playing.

They Work well for broken ribs to and have a really good Velcro on them.

Personally I would opt for that if I wore one of them maternity belts my mates would think I've gone funny lol or take the Michael hahaha

why exactly do you want the belt what's happening to you is the pain bad in lower colon ? That bad the only thing that relieves it is a belt ?

Ah you just caught me I was about to crash out its just a support for bad back or a ribs you can use them in front abdomial mussle injuries to but sports physio call them sport belts there about 5 inches wide and you can get them in a small medium and large.

If your about a 34 waste then the small will offer tight support and the mediumoffers loser support.

You can get them in blue black with a wooly interia with velcrow either end.

I got mine from a local pharmacy when I torn my front abdominal mussle plating golf.

It was so bad I couldn't lie down and felt like I had broke my rib every time I moved.

That was the only thing that worked and offered great relief that I could even play golf the next day.

But with out the bandage I couldn't even swing the club.

The material is quite good to Berry thick and flexible washable etc. Good luck finding one

Forgot to mention either end is about 5 inches which covers your front body but the back part is about 7 or 8 incheshes wide and quite warm too so maybe good for your arthritis.

Oh and the part of the bandage strap that is 8 inches can cover your front or your side so once its on you canove it round to there really good
