Hi My name is currumbin10.

I have Lichen Planus of the skin. Have my suggestions on how to manager the skin conditions... After many months of waste of money on western medicine and highly costly specialist doctors.

My other issues is the Hair, i do not itch it (at this stage) but the hair is slowly breaking off and that up set me big time.  I taking extra supplements to aid all my body as my liver was under stress.

The sad part about all of this was I was a healty and fit  female. I was not a saint, but eat all the healthy foods and exercise.  But... I am told that the excessive stress and pressure of my employment has pushed me too far and that is the course of my Lichen Planus (terrible itch and marked skin).  I now have had 3 months off work, just learning to control the itch and sort out what food i can really eat with out adding stress to the Liver.  Yes i am improving.  My success for ME is Hemp oil 4 times a day over all my legs, arms and back.  I do add hemp seeds to my salads and take of course Krill oil / fax seed oil and many other vitiams in the tablet forms.  I some time can rattle with the list of suppliments.

Let me know if you have lichen planus of the skin.  Currumbin Queensland

replies to Jilly 28448 7 WANDULA  - thaks FOR YOUR REPLIES intersting to have feed back from others.

From my personal point of view only -  I do not believe in the tropical steroids as the long term side effects have a greater disadvantage to the body over all.

Stress is the major cause of my skins lichen planus issues.

I am now trying to find a New pathway in my current employment to address life with less stress.  I do not desire to retire at my age 59years, as i have a few more years in my mind and body to continue to work.

Its just seeing if the work force here in Australia are more open to older people working and sharing jobs well into mid 60's.

The alternative herbs and other options which i use now with chinese medicine -  have  shown more results working with and controloing the lichen planus.

I do use a lot of natural oils all over my body  Including alove vera (have the plants now).

Hemp Oil has so many vitiams in hemp oil and hemp seeds can be added to salad dressing.  Hemp oil can be applied to the body with ease.

(So) i ordered my Hemp OIL 100% direct and of recent i trying Jojobo oil 100% . as its apparently the most natural oil closest to the skin oil.

this of course helps keep the skin moist and prevents the desire to itch.

in saying that I have to apply the oil 3 or 4 times a day OTHERWISE the skin becomes dry in this Australina Cooler weather and then i scrach and cause more lumps to appear.

(Yes) I apply the oil  even at work.  (for the time being)  i just wear garments that i do not mind getting the oil marks on .  (hot water wash solves that problem with the garments).

ALso.. i avoid any sort of antiobitic or medicine  - As i certainly react to these which of course increase the reaction of the Lichen planus.

And i rather have some sort of sleep pattern instead of itch all night and day.
