Support group for those with any form of LP

Posted , 2 users are following.

As someone who has lived with oral and vulval LP since end 2003, I understand more than most how isolating it is to live with a disease most people haven't heard of!

So I would encourage you all to join the UK's online support group for LP; UK Lichen Planus.

Once you are a member you can join the forum and there are many people with all forms of LP all sharing tips ideas and experiences. Anyone with any form of LP is able to join us and I would look forward to welcoming you.

Why not take a look at UKLP.org.uk - naturally we support the work of Patient UK

I have had this vulval condition for about 2 years but have only been diagnosed and treated within the last 6 months. Dermovate cream does the trick for me but the condition returns after a while. Sex is out of the quesion and while I'm suffering life is pretty uncomfortable. Does anyone have any tips for treating the dreadful soreness while waiting for the cream to start working? Has anyone tried Vasolene?

    Hallo Colpen!

If you have LP you should join the uk lichen planus group where you will get so much support and information. Name of the forum is UKLP.org.uk.

There is a barrier ointment that is very good where the soreness is concerned. It is called Paladin ointment. You can order it from another message board called ****. Many many women use this ointment and it really helps. The lady who runs this message board is extremely informative ahd helpful. Good Luck Colpen
