Sorry to hear this esp as you have children .

You wrote that your PT wasn't very helpful. I was wondering what he or she said etc. Did he/she give you any treatment or recommend any exercises? Did you go thru the NHS or privately.

Sorry meant to ask if you have you had an MRI scan or x ray of your knee at all?

hiya jean, thaks for reply. No i wasnt give a mri or any other information. I was told to try to keep laying my leg out straight when lying down and stop elevating, also to try and bear weight whilst on crutches. Ssaid my knee may require the surgeon to go in and give it a clean and tidy. it was NHS and no mention of mri,i feel so let down. my ex husband is here for the weekend but returns to dubai onn monday for work. Thankfully weve remained freinds and hes been a huge support whilst im like this. hes also concerened what will happen when hes gone.Oh yes jean i did get x-ray but was told bone was fine.x

      Advice is very cautious advice.

However if physio said that the surgeon may have to go back in and clean and tidy up it sounds as if the physio suspects that there may be some debris in the knee or needs looking it thru the arthroscope.

U could inquire about a scan. X ray will not show any tears. You may have patella tendinitis. Pls google it.

U need to go back to Ortho surgeon and seek more advice. If NHS will probably have to wat a while.
