Surgeon says ankle is looking good!

Had my four month follow up today since my ORIF surgery back in November 2019. Surgeon says my ankle looks excellent and that if I am having no problems, I can see him again in November 2020. He mentioned that they will take x rays again to make sure everything is in place. If he needs to take out the hardware, we can schedule that. My question is, what is the likelihood that my bone will grow around the metal plates? I am 30 years old so I'm sure that will determine things. I really would prefer to leave this stuff in for life. 😂

    Some like to have it removed to improve ROM

    I had stabilizing screw removed in January it was no big deal Hardware is s little more involved but dome here have done it an d happy they did

    i was told by my doctor to leave the hardware in unless it was causing problems . i'm 3 yrs with trimalleor surgery with dislocation and my ankle has been holding up wonderfully. some people may say take the hardware out that's something you have to want for yourself.
