Surgery

I am 15 years old. I was diagnosed with pancreatitis when I was 9. It runs in my family. I haven't been getting along very good lately. I have had a lot of pain that I can't control. The doctors are now telling me that the next step is to remove it. I was just wondering if anyone has had this done? I was also wondering how they are getting along.

Hi sad to hear about your problems with you being so young. Tell me what sort of medication have you been on or tried.

What happens if you don't take the creon. Where is your pain. Sorry to bother you only my wife has just been diagnosed with pancreatitis. She has had a lot of bowel surgery and we were putting her pain following eating all down to obstruction in her bowel. She was getting gas after eating which didn't help and I found some digestive enzymes from holland and Barrett that do help. Now I'm wondering how much the pancrease is contributing to her problems eating.
