Surgery

I’m to go back to the dr on June 6 for a biopsy (my first) when I started we this dr several years ago she mentioned to monitor for something getting hard. Last week she said she saw a red spot that had seemed to have gotten a little bigger. She mentioned a skin cancer that started with the letter “s” . That seemed to be what she wants to biopsy. She had a student PA with her and didn’t give me much time to ask questions. Sorry for the many questions but I’m freaking out. Has anyone had surgery . Thanks!

Hi Martha, I had a lesion removed under local anaesthetic last December. He removed the lesion and stitched up having zapped the area with heat. He wasn't going deep but it wasn't a problem and healed quite quickly. Good luck let us know how you get on.

Thank you so much.  I think I have just gotten so worked up over this. I’ve had skin cancers on my skin in the past this is just such a internal area. I’ll sure post what I find out . I’ll try to calm myself!
