I'm day 4 after surgery....you will be fine im sure. Just take what ever meds they give you, the trick is to stay on top of the pain, not to get in pain then have to get rid of it.

It will not be an over night miracle BUT it is going in the right direction 😀 good luck, will be thinking of you and keep us posted on your recovery 😘❌❌❌

I am 6 weeks after surgery and was really nervous too...my blood pressure was so high when they took it and I felt sick!  It really will be ok.  As Kerri says it is not an overnight cure, there will be pain, but in my experience not as bad as FS pain.  Then you will have the joy of physio.....but thats another story.

You are moving in the right direction now!

    Good luck xxx

Hey Cheryl....how are you doing Hun?

is it any better at the 6 week post op.

      what was your surgery for?

mine was a rotator cuff tear but that had also caused frozen shoulder, no range at all and constant aching pain.

since the op I still have that constant aching pain....I hope it goes away, although I only had surgery 4 days ago. So I have a ways yo go and then like you said there is physio...yuk yuk yuk 😩

Just got back from physio and it was ok, you never really escape pain though because soon as you master one stretch till it doesnt hurt anymore they go on to the next one...yikes!!  My arm just doesnt want to go into rotation abduction - basically bra strap movements, but she felt that I was inching my way, so I am happy with that.

Mine was classic frozen shoulder - 5 months of misery, like you I had no movement at all, surgeon took one look and said forget physio, distillitation etc. it is surgery for you, I was terrified and relieved at the same time.  I was also getting pain in the other shoulder, so he did arthroscopic on left shoulder and mua on right.  Since the op it has been so much better.

Bit by bit, day by day you will start to get stronger, sometimes it feels like one step forward and two steps back, I set myself tiny challenges each week, sometimes I achieve it sometimes I dont, but it helps me to keep motivated.

It is funny, but the weeks fly by once you have the op and you will hopefully see some relief soon from the pain.  It took at least a week for me to not need pain relief during the day (still needed it at night) and now and again I still need the odd nurofen, headache, neck ache etc. but so much better than the way I was before.

Hope you continue to improve, remember it takes time and rest for the body to recover after months of trauma.

Sending you happy vibes for a speedy recovery.  xxx

Thank you so much Cheryl, appreciate your advice and support. Yes I'm looking forward to when I can reduce the pain meds, then I will know I'm getting better. I'm in a sling for 6 loooong weeks. I am lying in my recliner at the moment with my sling off just to straighten my elbow out for a while, it almost feels orgasmic...lol

Sending love, hugs and happy vibes all the way back to you from Australia 😘❌❌❌❌
