Surgery pain or hip pain

Has anybody had mid thigh pain ( which is preventing me from doing my exercises) or a pinching feeling in the top of their hip?

I get it from time to time. I am 3 weeks out. Had xrays done and all the hardware is in place.

Hey yes me to and the pinching takes my breath away. I am not an expert but knowing that the internal stitches can take up to 4 months to dissolve I wonder if it is related. Confident all implant is okay as I am mobile. No infection as it is not hot and I feel well. Taking it easy today

Hi, I had mid thigh pain quite early on too was very worried it was the femoral stem shifting, but all was fine with xray. It subsided after a short time. I think its everything adjusting inside as we have been pulled about an awful lot, good luck with your ongoing recovery

Good morning .... Oh yes, me too -  I think I  feel the protheses in my hip socket and thigh bone - seems to be worse now than in the beginning - reading many of the discussions here on the forum it seems that patience, patience and more patience is required .... I am 5 weeks post op and see the doctor on May 13 -

Goodmorning. Did we do the right thing I asked myself after a bad day. Me 5 weeks post op and yesterday had pinching and stiffness around scar area. After some research I came to the conclusion it was the internal stitches and internal healing. At bed time I massaged in lavender oil and took a cocodamol. For the first time since 2011 I slept for 5 hours solid, quick toilet visit and back to sleep for a further 2 hours. Today I feel as though I have rejoined the human race. Have massaged in more lavender after shower. Hope the bees will not now try to pollinate me. Lavender is known for its healing properties and it also promotes sleep. This will be my routine from now on and wished the mushy post op brain had thought of it sooner. Make sure you buy pure lavender and not lavinda which has a mix and much cheaper. I have a diffuser to emit the aroma into atmosphere. Worth a try
