You must stop over-reacting as thousands have surgery everyday. Your body is going to react worse to the surgery, the more uptight you are. It's inevitable now, so get a good grip and calm completely down. The anaesthetic and surgery will be way kinder to your body if you go in completely calm and relaxed.

Your will be fine, I'm 5 weeks post operation, and I am staring to feel better!!!
I'm a nurse and have had many operation, but I was really worried about this one.
It's normal to be anxious, try to relax as much as you can, tell the nurses how your feeling they will reassure you. Good luck, stay in touch Xx

Hi Cara
i hope you are doing okay and the reality of the surgery wasn't as bad a you thought it was going to be. I had my surgery Monday and felt very calm in the hospital, I had some pain issues on the first night but these were soon resolved with some morphine. I came home yesterday afternoon and slept well in my own bed and feel quite well this morning. I hope you're journey has been relatively smooth too.
Wishing you well
Xx

I am one week post surgery after a full abdominal hysterectomy and feel remarkably well. The first 24 hours were painful however I was well looked after and felt much better the following day and have been managing a short walk everyday. Drink plenty of water, take pain medication when needed.
wishing you look and hoping al goes well for you.
xx
