Surgery tomorrow

Finally it's surgery time and I'm pretty anxious. Not like crazy, shaking anxious but a bit fragile emotionally.

I've stocked up on peppermint tea for the gas, super strong pain killers, arnica, stool softeners and have been and had a colonic irrigation and enemas in prep for the inevitable constipation!!

I've filled the cupboards and fridge so my husband and 12 year old daughter don't starve lol and my home is tidy!

Have I missed or forgotten anything? πŸ€”

All jokes aside, I'm bloody nervous. More of the recovery than the op. I have a lot of scar tissue after 3 surgeries so I'm hoping it can still be keyhole but am told to not count on it.

The op is an oophorectomy with a complex cyst and remove endometriosis. My ca125 was high so hopefully they'll not find ovarian cancer tomorrow when they go in.

Anyway. I'll keep you posted

    Hi Lucy

wow great preparation, maybe you could also include some good books or DVDs for your recovery time.

    Good luck tomorrow πŸ€πŸŒˆ

Don't worry too much, it's not all that bad, I had lots of adhesions and had ovary and cyst removed while I was out having a prolapse op. The ovary and cyst were easy to get over, very little pain and fast recovery, maybe because the prolapse repair was so hard to get over!

All the best, you'll be fine.x.
