Surgery Update

My surgery date has changed, it's now on the 20th. I'm also seeing another surgeon on Monday in an attempt to get it done earlier. Hope you lot are all doing well👍🏻.

I actually rescheduled b/c the physician I chose didn't have privileges to the hospital I chose. My surgery will be done with the Davinci Xi Robot. Therefore I chose a different surgeon who could do the surgery in the facility with the robot. Hope that makes sense. For those of you who are also going to get this surgery done there are wonderful YouTube videos of the surgery.

Sorry, this did not come through until this morning. I didn't realize that you had to choose a different surgeon. I do hope you find one you are completely satisfied with.

That's tough since you already had your mind set to having it done sooner. But more important that you have full confidence in the surgeon - don't sacrifice that for 10 days if you really like the original one. Let us know!

I've interviewed 3 thus far, the fourth will be Monday. So far I'm of the opinion that most, not all surgeons are an odd bunch with minimal social skills/empathy which is the reason for my meeting on Monday. Can't say I'd enjoy having a pint with any of them tbf😆. I'm a Barrister by trade so I'm going to ask as many questions as I can. Those that seem uninterested I scratch off my list. Funny enough I'm now in the medical profession. I think medical schools ought to have courses on bed side manner as most of these surgeons folk seem to lack that skill.

I agree with Dee. I know the waiting game is very hard but you did seem to have confidence in your first choice. That means everything especially if you are not happy with any of the others. Keep us posted!
