What type of pain are you experiencing? I had a total hip done on my right side June 2018 and I still have pain right in my groin area when I get up, stand a certain way, etc. I am going back in a couple weeks as I've been told this is not normal. Are you in the U.S.?

no im in sask canada i keep having deep groin pain stiffness numbness pain in lower back glutes side of the left hip i have hip dysplasia as well and had 2 dislocations i had a revision last yr as well to change the head and socket but it overlaps my socket cause its so shallow and now when i did a ct scan and xrays it shows the stem part on the bottom of the stem isnt growing into the bone like it should so he requested i do another revision to replace the entire implant but i mean this is the 5th hip surgery ive had ive had surgery every yr for 5 yrs enoughs enough

Is this the same surgeon who has failed you previously? If so I would seriously consider looking for a surgeon with a good track record for revisions! What in heavens name does he mean by a small implant? Cheers, Richard

yes but we finally figured out what the problem was hes a good surgeon somewhat but because i have hip dysplasia too it has affected me but after all tests and stuff he said we need to put in a small implant as he thinks this one is too big and i have been waiting months and months to see another surgeon but still havent had a call and i also have grade 3 changes to my left knee patella so once i get this hip surgery done will see if it helps the pain in my knee if not then surgery to the knee it sounds confusing but its not

Thanks for that but did he explain what this small implant actually is in plain English so that we can all learn something new? Cheers, Richard
