Surrey PMR Support Group Christmas Bash.

Just had a most enjoyable afternoon at the Surrey PMR Support Group held at the Chertsey Halls and organised by Mrs. O and hard working friends, to celebrate the upcoming Christmas. Excellent buffet, scintilating company, (I won a prize in the raffle, Hurrah! my long suffering wife will love the Milk Tray).  Sadly only 4 men, 3 with PMR and 1 enthusiastic follower, (Husband of the lovely Beryl) the rest ladies. 40 odd attended. My thanks to John and Ewa for putting up with me.

Must say that over 3 years of membership of this support group the information I have gleaned and the help and support  I have received have helped me no end in understanding the condition I have, (PMR) and how to deal with it. Yes, I have made mistakes, two of which have landed me in hospital for a short time. And yes, I have been hospitalised also luckily for short times because of falls but consider myself very lucky to have such good friends and also albeit late to have found this site.

Once again the real reason for this post.

Bowens procedure and a local practicioner, help Nefret.

    just wish there was someghing like this near leeds.    this  forum has been a  godsend to me    helping me  though,   with  everyones comments     mrs O and Eleen  really know what they are talking about

      You havea brilliant Consultant in Leeds as well, wonder if  you are with Dr Sarah Mackie?

    Hi, use your search engine for 'Bowen Technique'.  

    This gives you a list of accredited Bowen Practioners.

    They are brilliant and well worth trying for the three weeks.

    I think I met you at Surrey earlier in the year.

    i have only had my gp sorting me out,  but i must say he has got me on the  right road.  i did at the begining of my pmr   get in touch to see if there was any trials going for pmr.  but there wernt any   but after xmas  i will get back in touch with her

    Hi JandaPea, I have found one in Hampton TW12 2AX and one in Weybridge KT13, would these be helpful to you?  I can give you more details in a PM if you wish, but these two popped up straight away on a google search.

      Thank you very much for the info. I will try the one in Hampton, she seems eminently qualified. Don't know how I missed the site before as I have been researching using google and other search engines for weeks now.frown

      You missed a really good bash at Chertsey. Never mind maybe one day........

      Thank you to all who made a contribution re Bowens. I will post later when I have experienced the treatment.

      Sciatica/piriformis really bad today, paracetamol and tramadol to the rescue and just staying in and keeping warm, the shopping can wait!cheesygrin
