Suspect hernia pain

I went to GP 2 weeks ago with a uncomfortable swelling in groin area that I suspected was a hernia.

It was not my usual GP , he examined me but it was all very rushed and said it was a groin strain, I wasn’t convinced.

It’s been the same for 2 weeks, when cough etc get a discomfort in that area of swelling but no pain, I had made an appointment that see another GP tomorrow.

This morning I am getting a constant pain in that area but the swelling seems to have gone, can’t feel the bulge but the area feels tender when I press it.

Should I just go to GP tomorrow or could it be more serious?

I would book in with your regular GP and get a second opinion if you are worried.  It could well be just the groin strain but its always best to be checked again if you are worried.

Do go, there is a simple way of telling - he will ask you to cough and then he can feel if the bowel is protruding through a tear. Never ever leave something like this.
