Sutures and scarring following Lapidus bunion surgery

I had Lapidus Bunion Surgery 3 weeks ago, stitches were removed last week and I have been given an aircast boot to slowly start bearing weight. I have a horrible scar around the stitches, I was told by the doctor I can apply some cream. I wonder if anyone has any tips to help to reduce the scare.g. application of bio-oil, light massage etc. Thanks.

I used rose hip oil. My scars are almost invisible.

I was recommended Dermatix Advanced Scar gel. I'm using it six weeks post surgery and I can say it does work! Obagi makes it.
