Svt

My son is 21 years of age and has had svt since 2015, and his episodes would come once a week or even once a month. He has recently came out of a cardiac ablation surgery, it’s has been about a month now after his procedure and he has been getting it very frequently, more then 20 episodes a day. I have been Monitoring his blood pressure every time he has an episode and the results show a significant decrease in blood pressure (87/54). Is this a normal thing to expect after the procedure, does he need to be patient and wait another 2 months to see any results ?

Why aren't you having this conversation with his Cardiologist?

We are told to expect some arrhythmia activity after ablation but only the health specialists involved with his care can tell you whether his fits the criteria of being normal or abnormal.

Have you contacted his cardiologist? I've never had an ablation but from what I've read from others, it shouldn't get worse. I know there is a healing process and others have spoke of palpitations after ablation due to the heart healing. Now some have had to go back for more ablations. I'd get in touch with the doc that did the ablation asap.

Good advice to see the cardiologist. Hopefully you'll be told that your son's experiences aren't unusual, and it's too soon so know the ultimate result of his ablation. We wish the best for him.
