SVT ablation for a 6 month baby

hey , anybody heared or had experiences with subject ? For this age more/less ?

there's a very famous world cardiologist who is recommending to stop my 3 month baby off Amiodarone for its bad side effects & for him to be able to ablate her when she's 6 months.

although she's only suffering the svt for 1 month & currently stable on amiodarone, atenololo & digoxin , but all opinions agreed that she's very " drug resistant  ".

what do you think ?

You must trust the judgement of the doctors, better to have a chance than stay on the drugs.  I,ve never heard of a baby so young have this condition.  God Bless her.

Hi Ann.. actually this is my approach & tendency to give a go better than living the horror of sudden episodes for months /years.

but i'm concerned about the complicities and anticipated risks at such age, basically i'm looking for previous experiences and assurance from other memebrs who gone through or saw such decision for such age.

also too much concerned how will we do without Amiodarone as it seems to be controlled well despite how awfull it's.

anybody here tried controlling child's SVT with flecainde only  ??

There are a lot of questions you must write down for answers from the consultant before you proceed.     I have seen a post from someone with a 12 year old child who has this condition, but never a baby.   You definitely need to ask if this procedure will need to be redone again in the future and whether it will cause any damage in the long term to her heart.   I have suffered this for 42 years and probably had it from a child because i can remember incidents, it has got worse as i got older, my son also has the condition, apparently it can be inherited.
