Can you get put to sleep while having the albation as I don't think I could go through with it being awake.

Hi I've had two cardiac ablations for SVT and yes it's uncomfortable but not painful!! The experts are reassuring and being a health care professional myself I would never opt to go to sleep when it's not necessary!! Also when you're awake and they give you drugs to induce your arrhythmia, I'm led to believe they get a clearer picture of what's going on. I'm a wimp and I managed under local so anyone can!! If it can give a clearer picture avoid a GA!! Hope that helps!!
