SVT and chest pain

I am 40 year old male and recently diagnosed with SVT. During my appointment with my cardioligist I explained to him some chest pains I have had but he didn't offer anything on them. I have had 2 episodes of SVT where my heart rate shot up to 230+ bpm but from time to time I experience severe pain in my chest with a normal heart rate. These episodes typically only last several seconds at a time and it could be months before I experience them again. The pains will make me dizzy while it is occurring which goes away immediately when the pain stops. I experienced a severe episode of this in my early 20s and passed out from it. With the SVT and the pains, they always present when at rest. So I guess my question is, can anyone offer anything on the chest pain? Does this sounds like it is associated with SVT?

I have also experienced severe short bursts of chest pains. Usually they occur when I am sitting as well. I do have SVT and am getting an ablation in less than a week.
Most Web it's have not listed chest pains as symptoms of SVT but I know what you are going through.
Just hang in there and insist on meeting with a cardioelectric specialist.

I hope all goes well for you! I am curious to see if this will solve both SVT and the chest pain if you wouldn't mind sharing in the coming months.

I to started having SVT about a year ago. I am 61 years old. My sessions last far longer than that though. Since Feb 2017, I have had about 7 episodes. I have learned not to panic and do some maneauvers. I tried for an ablation last June/16 but it was unsuccessful due to being on a benzo for anxiety.
I never have had the chest pains, but all the reading I have done and spoken to many people, it is very common. Both my cardioloigist and abalation specialist asked me if I gor chest pains or dizzy. Fortuntely I have not.. The heart racing is enough.
The doctor wanted to try again this May, but my gp says it is not enough time to get off 2 anxiety mediciations and be medication free for the procedure.
Have you been offered an ablation? If you have, go for it. The success rate is about 97%. Unfortunately I was one of the 3%

Hey Justin, chest pains are associated with SVT ,BUT, fading or "severe" dizziness aren't usually a symptom of SVT, as I'm sure you've already researched enough about this, during an episode of SVT only one or the two upper chambers of the heart begin racing, this usually does not cause severe dizziness or fading since the lower chambers are able to pump enough blood to prevent such symptoms. If what you experience is only a light form of dizziness then I wouldn't say that it's a huge problem, since that can happen as a result of being anxious during an episode. Nevertheless, a severe dizziness that accompanies chest pain has to be further investigated. I hope that helps.
