Swapping birth control, will it delay period

I have been taking loestrin 20 for quite some time now, however due to illness I have not been able to collect my prescription, I'm due to go on holiday Monday so wanted to take 2 packs back to back as I have done this in the past. However I only have microgynon 30 available, if I take this immediately after finishing loestrin 20 will it have the same effect and delay my period? It's a very important holiday for me! Thank you in advance for your reply x

Do you mean not have the 7 gap?

If so it probably will work.

Microgynon 30 is utterly equivalent to Loestrin 20. So the issue isn't changing the drug.

You might get breakthrough bleeding, but if this happens its not microgynon's fault.

Once you've finished your holiday - take the 7 day break and then start a new cycle of Microgynon/Loestrin.

Yeah I won't take the break and hopefully can have a holiday without cramps! Thank you for clearing that up for me!

      Your welcome. It should work.

You may get breakthrough bleeding, but hopefully not.
