Sweating

Im taking sertraline 50mg, the sweating is horrendous, i know we are having hot weather at the moment but i think the sweating is a side effect. Has anyone had this and know how long it lasts and if it gets better.

Yes I am sweating a lot, last night I slept without a sheet and felt coldish on the outside but could still feel a burning warmth inside. It was the first night I hadn’t sweated horrifically, but it may just have been luck. (Also I’m nogonna staying at my parents and their house is a lot cooler than mine).

Im from Scotland originally. and "Nogonna" is a Scottish word. lol. It means, "I am not going to do that". lol ha ha! Like we say "I dinny ken" Which translates into "I do not know the answer to that question" lol ha ha ha! Were a weird bunch.

Sweating is s side effect. I used to wake up in a stinky sweaty puddle. This was around 50mg/75mg and has slowly got quite a lot better. I sweated in the daytime too and ended up using Michum anti perspirant for problem pits lol. Make sure you drink plenty of water

Yup! Join the club! I just start sweating while im sitting watching tv lol. every night now i have to lay out a spare set of pajamas, and a spare sheet and pillow cases, for half way through the night to get up have a quick change of everything lol and then repeat again in the morning, my poor washing machine doesn't know whats hit it! lol. I thought the same as you tho, it has been hot where i live too lately so was putting it down to that to start, but no, i think its the meds, i don't mind to much, from what some people have its one of the lesser side effects, and im sure that will pass, i think its just your body adjusting to the sertaline, and once that happens all these side effects should pass. Well i hope so!

Keep us updated on if yours stops. All the best G

I found sweating gets a bit better. Actually, as my anxiety lessons the sweating does too. Don't over dress in layers helps. Sleeping in very light clothing helped the most. I stopped waking up sweating.
