Sweating hands and feet, been prescribed propranolol hydrochloride 80mg?

Hi, im 25 years old female. Iv had sweaty hands and feet for as long as I can remember. I thought I'd grow out of it but obviously not. Anyway, went to my doctor and she prescribed me propranolol hydrochloride 80mg once daily. Iv oy been on it for 3 days. Was just wondering if anyone eles has been given this tablet for same and what they thought of it and how long it takes to work (not working for me as of yet). Any answers or suggestions very welcome x

    Yes I was prescribed this due to excessive sweating caused by anxiety.  I used to have to take off my wet with sweat clothes, shower and change all the time.  Particularly embarrasing on the face.  My doc told me to take them 'as and when' and a very small dose (say 20 mg seems to do the trick).  I read somewhere not to stop taking this without consulting a doctor, but continue to take it only sometimes.  Im nervous about taking anything even slightly associated with the heart.  It does work though.  Cheers
