Hi, Kirsty:  I am having the same problem, especially in my left ankle...It is very uncomfortable, but the doctors are hesitant to give me a diuretic because of low potassium...Hope they come up with something with no side effects to ease that discomfort...

    Hi Kirsty,

yes I have swelling in both hands and feet, although my right ankle is usually the worst. I have found a mixture of cold compress or immersion in cold water helps, also gentle rotation of the joints just to keep the fluid build up moving. If there is someone who could massage your joints moving up the leg or arm helps. Swimming or walking in water is a great way to keep your joints moving without stressing the joints, but be careful not to become to fatigued. Finally there is elevation, it's a great reason to sit with your feet up and arm resting on pillows. It's all about trying things out and finding which work for you.

Good luck and take care xx
