Swelling

Hi everyone, just a quick question.

Yesterday I was getting ready for bed when I noticed swelling on the right hand side of my hip scar. It run from the top right to the bottom nut only on the one side. I didn't notice it before, only a day or two before was thinking how nice and smooth my scar was. Now I have this, I t now the end of day 2 and still lime it was, it tender to the touch and I have had like a stabbing pain in it.

Should I be worried? Going to call doctor on Monday if it's still there.

How long since your surgery? Sounds pretty normal to have some swelling and tenderness. I am 6 months out and posterior cut area still a bit tender. I rub in essential oils for muscle pain and that helps some.

    When was your surgery?

I think since there is a stabbing pain with it, a call to a doctor today might be a good idea.

Good luck with it and let us know what happens.

    hi nattie,

I had 2 THR surgeries and zippers on each side - I think it i normal to feel tenderness for a while and some stabbing occasionally - Not sure about the swelling - if it is concerning you, definitely contact your doctor - better safe than sorry, right?

Scar might look good and neat however underneath so much healing needs to be done -

How are you getting on otherwise?

    big warm hug

    renee
