Swelling

hi, can this cause swelling of the fact ? Near and or above eye

    Hi,

    I presume that you are asking if Trigeminal neuralgia can cause swelling? If so, the simple answer is no, BUT swelling that compresses the nerve can cause the pain. Any such swelling could be due to all manner of things. See a doctor and get it checked out.

    Hi There, I've had TN for over 20 years and have never suffered or heard of TN causing facial swelling. Hopefully you don't have TN if you have facial swelling. It may be that you have some other form of facial pain such as common neuralgia. Have you seen your doc? Hope your problem is soon resolved. Gill
