Swelling

I've been swelling for a month, can this be caused from the calcium channel blocker? I'm currently taking 5mg amlodipine twice a day and 60mg isosorbide once daily. I was diagnosed a year and half ago with Prinzmeta angina. I have gained 36 pounds in one month! Is this really possible? Any thoughts?

Hi Stella I also take 60 mg of isosorbide for prinzmetal's angina for my blood pressure I take Lisinopril which takes care of water elimination from the body I don't know about vote the other one that you are on that starts with an A I can't remember the name of it but I know I don't take a calcium channel blocker mine is a ace inhibitor and I take 12.5 mg of a beta blocker I have gained 25 or 30 lb in the past three to four years but I think it's because I do not exercise I have herniated discs in my neck and back is severe arthritis as well as valve disease in my heart and just too many health problems in general that can't take more exercise than just walking around in the house and going to the store and age because I am 69 I just wanted you to know that sometimes when you get heart problems that you do gain weight and the older you get the harder is to lose that weight because our metabolism become slower and our blood pressure becomes compromised because of our medicine which is good we don't want it to be high try not to worry about your weight as long as it slows down and you know you are eating healthy that's what I do I can't expect to be a size 7 forever now I'm a 12 or 14 and I just accept it and enjoy each day and enjoy my family and my best friend and my programs on TV and my cats and the house dogs and put my trust in the Lord and have learned a whole new way of life and I wish the same for you stay well things are going to be okay a big hug from me to you 😊?

Thanks Diana. One question for you. Does the beta blocker help with everyday chest pains. I still have them several times a morning. They are my alarm clock. As for the weight gain not to concern only that it's mostly fluid. That part is scary. Will Prinzmetal ever go away?
