Swelling after hydrocelectomy

Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience I have had following a hydrocelectomy. I am now 10 weeks post op and still have some swelling (egg size) I saw my doc about 5 weeks after surgery and he didnt seem concerned and doesnt want to see me again till December. I have read it can take 3-6 months for all swelling to subside but I was just curiouse if anyone has had the same problem as me as I am still kind of nervous.

I've been looking into possible aspiration and sclerotherapy treatment.
Has anyone here had success with it after you've already had a previous hydrocelectomy? I still have a hydrocele a year after my operation, and even though it's not big enough to warrant surgery, it still swells up back and forth to its original pre-op size, and I mean, the entire sack just swells up.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this particular treatment is recommended for people that have already had hydrocelectomy but ended up with a recurring hydrocele. Maybe someone here can chime in with their experience.

I had an aspiration two months after my first surgery , he performed it without sclerotherapy and it didn't work. After a week was the same size as before.
My doctor said injection of any substance has a high risk of infection.
I went to a second surgery one week ago and I'm praying to solve the problem this time..

I'm three weeks after and my left side is probably 3 times what the size it was before the surgery.

I thought my hydrocele had returned but after a couple of months it was gone and has not returned.

hey,
i know this thread is super old, but wondering if there was a good outcome for the contributors? my partner just had his second hydrocele surgery. it came back a month or two after the initial surgery much worse - he is in the same boat as you wishing he'd never had touched it. 3 days post surgery it's really swollen and he is convinced its already back.
im a female partner and trying to support him, and provide some practical advice and advocacy with his health providers.
thanks in advance

I also wonder about the ultimate outcome. People like me are still looking at this discussion who are having the same issues and hoping that time will resolve them.
