Swelling and ear involvement

Question...my GERD has been fairly obnoxious lately...even with the Prilosec...although improved with the Prilosec. One thing I’ve noticed is a feeling of swelling and slight tightness on one side of my throat that seems to go to my ear (internally). An occasional light soreness in the throat that can extend to the ear and comes and goes. I sometimes have the same on the other side too, but mostly one side. Does this sound similar to the way GERD presents for you?

Is it ever just the swelling and the tightening feeling? I get the soreness on occasion, but it’s mostly just a weird tight swollen feeling on that side.

I have silent reflux. I had ear pain and I went to my ear, nose & throat doctor and told him about the pain in my ear. I told him I was putting a mixture of 1 teaspoon vinegar and 1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol in my ear. He said that was very good and to do it only once a week.

Definitely and GP who specialises in ENT said definitely connected to GERD and silent reflux. I get it left hand side only and also get a sore tongue right at the back feels like an ulcer but isn't. My ear is really sore today in fact
