I am 6 months after the interior THR and still have a very swollen thigh with numbness after therapy and daily exercises. Anyone else have this problem?

i am not a physician, but you should make an appt with the doctor! I can understand the area where the stitches are to still be numb (mine were like that for even a year after)and there were times my thighs had a numb feeling to them but the swollen part seems kind of questionable to me. have it checked out!

Yes numbness can persist for many months - mine recently returned after 20 months. Unfortunately it does then remind you it was cut ! Swelling is also an occupational hazard with thr - If those are your only issues, elevate the leg and massage the areas - It will eventually go in most cases.

Oh yes! I am 4 months post right anterior surgery and my thigh is still numb and some swelling persists just below the incision, although i have to say it did come down a bit from the beginning, but the side of the right thigh is a little bigger than the left.  I have to believe what others say, that eventually it will disappear completely.

I guess I was lucky, I never had any swelling at all. I wonder why some people get swelling? Did you ahve a drain? I had a drain for about 2 days and it sucked out a couple of cups of surgery blood.

I never thought about it but i think you are right, it probably has to do with drainage.  I was in the hospital only one day, was fine so i got released the day after surgery.  Thanks for the info.
