I had CTR on 3/25/25, my wrist has been swollen the past few days and discolored like it's bruised still and it hurts to move it anyway it's excruciating at times, itches and burns .Is this still a normal process this long after surgery?

hi I had mine on the 8/4.15 and I've got swelling and redness and my stitches are still in my nurse keeps saying its ok.. But seems like you have a infection have you been back to see your gp or nurse.. I would call up out of hours and see if you may get some advice or even go into hospital... It shouldn't be taking this long to heal.. Hope you feel better soon 😊

I asked a nurse today when I took my friend to the dr, but they couldn't really say what it could be because they are not familar with carpal tunnel.

Best to contact your gp or go to a walk in centre. Sounds like you may have an infection or blockage. Have you been using it too much? Have you been doing the exercises?

If it was ok but now causing troubles get it checked out.

Yes to both. I started going to physical therapy recently and doing exercises at home as prescribed. I had my left hand done in January and I didnt have these problems that I am having now with my right hand.

Get it checked asap. Best to do that and be wrong, than not do it and let it continue until it becomes unbearable. It will give you peace of mind at least. Hope it gets better.
