Swelling/lump beneath tongue (sublingual gland?)

A few days ago I noticed this lump under my tongue. It is soft but firm. It doesn't usually hurt but there is some slight pain if I keep touching it with my tongue. I have no idea what it is. Mouth cancer is vey unlikely because I'm 18. I think it might be a swollen sublingual salivary gland but I don't know. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Dude i got this thing otta nowhere one day in the morning when i got a bit of pain while spiting. I showed it to ENT specialist he said its nothing and gave me a Vitamin dose and said to leave. But this problem didnt go away even after 4 days so i showed it to another ENT specialist this time he thoroughly examined it and said that its swelling of the Salivary gland he gave me a medicine and said if it doesnt cure get an X ray done. Now its two days, the pain is reduced but the problem doesnt seem to have gone away. i can still feel that thing below my tongue. I am 24 BTW, i dont know the possibility of this turning out to be cancer. if it in turn turns out to be cancer then i am doomed. 😭

Mine was nothing. Eventually went away, it took about two weeks. I personally think it could be from stress or I need to eat better!!

This could be due to stress and might go away for few hours or some days. Relax and do not go to see your Dr. Normally Dr. can even complicate the matter and become serious. Relax and it will be alright
