swelling on big toe after six weeks?

Since coming out of the walker boot a few days ago and into tennis shoes I feel like my big toe is a bit more swollen and the swelling underneath my toes feels worse. Anyone else had similar experiences?

    I had a lapidus bunionectomy done on my L foot May 26th in the US. My surgeon told me from the get-go that the fastest recovery she has had was 12 weeks and that was a young, avid, volleyball player. This surgery requires soooo much patience. Are you all doing physical therapy? My Dr. said it was time to start arranging for that. I think, with all I'm reading, I better do it!
