Swelling Under Glans (Pictures Included)

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello,

For about 3 months I have noticed it has been swelling under the glans if I pull back the foreskin It does look all swollen, red and like a rash with little red spots and blue vain/lump? But I also have Peyronie's disease so the swollen area could be scar tissue (Plaque lump)? as my penis is bending upwards and to the right?

I have pain if touched I can also feel it like stinging and tingling almost like nerve damage?

Here are some Pictures

Ryan, I know you haver posted elsewhere on this site, but for other readers I will respond to the information in this post for other readers to make sense of:

    .

Generally, you have a number of issues going on here, and if you were dealing with a Urologist who you have a good working relationship with then they should be able to deal with these issues, or at least give you an explanation as to why the issues you have exist. So to take the issues one at a time:

    .

blue vain/lump - I would suggest this could simply be the way the penis has developed. The other source of issues such as this can be for someone using a variety of methods for penile development / enhancement, including 'natural' methods and for those using devices of which there are several different types. So here, it depends whether you use any of these methods, as certainly in my experience injuries due to the practice of penile development is an inevitable consequence. If this has been present for 3 months or more and you do practice penile enhancement then the lump may have faded slightly but may take a number of months still to completely heal presuming no further pressure is applied to it.

For anyone using any form of penile development I would suggest complete abstinence from the practice until the injury is completely healed.

The swelling again could be a result of such practices, or could be related to the other issues your penis has, again this would be an issue for a Urologist.

In terms of the little red spots, and you also seem to have some red patches on the head of your penis, this is most often caused by irritation to the skin caused by something the skin is exposed to on a regular basis.

For this, i am going to post one of my guides, read through it carefully and if you have any further question on this get back to me ....

    .

What causes Red Bumps on the Head and Foreskin of the Penis

    .

What I think may well be the main problem is the skin of the head of your penis has become intolerant to either particular chemicals placed on it, or potentially, just about anything placed on it.

So, the bumps are naturally present on the head of the penis, only, we do not usually notice them, it is when the skin on the head of the penis becomes sufficiently irritated that they become noticeable.

    .

What you need to think about is everything that comes into contact with the skin on the head of your penis - this can be something as simple as soap, shower gel, other body wash, such as if you use hair shampoo in the shower and some gets onto the skin of your penis. Also, many men use Lubes of different kinds for masturbation and sex, these can be specific lubes, but many men use stuff like Baby Oil or skin cream as a lube, or regularly apply a skin cream to hydrate the skin of the penis.

What you need to do is to exclude anything such as this from getting onto your penis. Wash your penis with water only and make sure it is completely dry afterwards.

This will be an extended process as you may not see any change for 3, 4 or even 6 months or more of excluding all these chemical based items from getting onto the head of your penis.

      Hi Wee_Dugie

Regarding blue vain/lump I don't think it was like this before I noticed it about March actually, It just randomly started when Peyronie's disease was getting worse I think it might have something to do with it by that I mean the swollen part (plaque lump)? or you could be write it could be a reaction to something.

Here is another Picture to see blue vain/lump

      image

Regarding using devices I have bought into a lot of devices however I haven't really used them apart from I did try to use a traction device for Peyronie's disease and to increase size but I found it very uncomfortable and the device kept slipping off because I don't have much girth either so I've been trying to get medical advise before using them as I can see me herting myself if I do it alone and I've read its best to seek medical advice so I did I asked the Urologist for help but he said they don't work and wasn't interested in helping so I hope the new one will help.

Regarding little red spots and redness I saw a post one day about dry foreskin and you had replied to the guy saying about removing soap, shower gel and other body wash, so I did that as I have dry and wrinkly foreskin however I use E45 Dermatological Emollient Shower Cream because I have dry skin I also have been putting this on my penis is this ok? But resonantly I have only been using coconut oil once a day (before shower) as I've heard it not only moisturises but provides nutrients to the penis to keep it healthy.

It's still dry and wrinkly at the minute but like you said it takes time.

I'm still waiting for referral appointment to see new Urologist hopefully he will help me with my issues.

Thank You for your help and reply as always.

Ryan, here are my comments and further questions as I read through this response: -

First, I wonder if you are circumcised. or are you tightly holding your foreskin towards the base of your penis in the photo above?

So, no, I have nothing to add on the blue vain - other than to make sure you check this with the next Urologist!

Just for other reader’s awarenesses, I was eventually diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus but the skin on the head and foreskin of my penis had got progressively worse over an extended period of years. Around the time I was diagnosed and for about six months afterwards all I could do with my penis was urinate and try to care for it best I could. This meant I had no sex or masturbation for around 10 months+ and my penis shrank to the size it was when I was about 8 years of age, certainly not something to impress ladies with, so I looked at ways to restore my size as it was before once I got the management of Lichen Sclerosus right.

In terms of penile development and enhancement I have tried tablets, vacuum devices and natural methods that I learned about on the internet and here are my conclusions: for natural and mechanical methods, and for using tablets, gain is relatively minor and these methods need to be used on a daily basis.

With mechanical and natural methods it is far too easy to cause injury to the penis and I would certainly not recommend these methods unless you know how to prevent any injuries from occurring.

When you do injure yourself this can mean 3, 4 or even more months of not being able to use these methods, or be able to masturbate or have sex. When the injury has cleared usually all the gains that have been made are lost, and each time you are starting from the beginning again.

During the year+ that I have been on this website one male stated he injured his penis so badly that it will never be the same again - this can only lead to the overall conclusion that what can happen in terms of negative circumstances outweigh any potential gains and the overall recommendation would need to be do not try any of this stuff!!!

Essentially, a Urologist would certainly be well aware of men who have tried these different methods and the real practical problems that many men experience, therefore, I really doubt whether any health professional would recommend trying any of these methods yourself. Too much can, and does go wrong, if a medical professional is seen to suggest trying these things, and injuries occur, they can be held legally responsible, and many patients are certainly prepared to sue for medical negligence.

In terms of the little red spots, I think the only approach that works is to return the penile skin to its natural state. Therefore, you have dry skin because of what it has been exposed to over an extended period of years - you do not improve the situation in any way by applying even more chemical based products to the skin. Water, then throughly dry after washing or showering is the only safe thing to do.

So what I would suggest for you is not applying anything (= Zero!) for around 6 or 7 months, and only when the skin looks like it has recovered somewhat, can you then consider applying things like coconut oil or shea butter …….

      Hi Wee_Dugie

Here is the answers to the questions "I wonder if you are circumcised?" I am not circumcised just tightly holding back foreskin.

"I have nothing to add on the blue vain" Ok no worries I'll check this with the next Urologist.

Sorry to hear you had Lichen Sclerosus and that your penis shrank, as you know when I replied to your most resent reply on the first post I done. I almost have a micro penis and I have anxiety about it I've been trying to research penis enlargement for 3 years now and have got nowhere and have spent 1,000+ pounds on produces and courses because when I was at collage I was bullied about my size and not having testicles they pulled my trousers down and started laughing at me word spread around the collage fast even girls were making jokes about me 😦 so I had to leave the college to keep me sane and that it was an awful experience as you can imagine. I now have depression about it and other things have happend too 😦

I know they say "size dose not mater" but that's usually men who are normal size saying that and at least they look normal down below!

Also a quick note my GP and Endocrinologist know about what happend at college my parents also know too.

I know penis enlargement is risky but I need to try to fix my size so I am a normal size, no longer worried and embarrassed by it, I hope this Urologist will help me but your probably write he wont help just like the other one he'll just say there is no way to enlarge the penis.

Ok sorry about that I was just letting you know why I'm so stressed about size and all the issues I have going on It's just making things worse.

Anyway Thank You for all your help Wee_Dugie I'll follow your advice on only washing my penis with water, I'll also ask the Urologist about it too when Ive had the appointment (Dry and Wrinkly Foreskin)

I also will not post about Dry and Wrinkly Foreskin as you've answered the question.

I'll let you know if you want when I know what all the problems are, I'll also say about what it was and how it was possibly caused to help other people who may have a similar problem.

I rang the hospital on Friday to see when the appointment may likely be they said he wants to see me at the end of the mouth or the start of October hopefully he'll help me sort all this out.

Thanks again for all your help

Hello Ryan, thanks for the further detail and update.

I have been able to establish quite a good way of managing my Lichen Sclerosus and I was able to regain the size losses that I suffered because my penile skin was a total mess for so long, and then due to the initial recovery period. Although I had been using a vacuum device prior to my skin becoming really bad, I tried combining several methods once my skin was strong enough - so it was during this period that I discovered 'enhancement' methods simply do not work, unless you perfect the means of not injuring yourself, and you pretty much practice one method or another, on rotational basis, everyday for the rest of your life. However, minimal gains are possible, and the biggest gain I have achieved constantly is to enhance 'definition' or outline - rather than much gain, there is certainly some enhancement.

There have been several males on here who have been dealing with micro penis, it seems these men have to basically reach an understanding that there size will not change, and unfortunately you may think, simply come to terms of making the most of what they have got. And yes, these men do have successful relationships with women, and they father children too - so I would say in terms of size at least, you aree several steps on from where these men will be the whole of their adult life.

It is really sickening to hear of your experiences at college, this just shows the truly pathetic side of humanity, in that many need to capitalise on other people's circumstances - shame on them!

So I hope your counseling sessions are still taking place, it is the trauma of these types of circumstance that you need to come to terms with - so that you can reflect and conclude it was about other people's patheticness, rather than diminishing any thing to do with you as a person.

In terms of washing with water and not applying anything else to the penis you may not notice any dramatic difference for quite a number of months. As my own penile skin showed, recovery and improvement can take upwards of 5 to 7 months or so, you need to stick to doing 'the good stuff' - and keep your penile skin a 'happy skin' rather than being attacked by various chemicals!

Good luck with your next appointments - do update when you have further developments or you have further questions to ask .....

      Hi Wee_Dugie hope your well,

Sorry its been a while since I posted on here this is just an update on my situation.

I've finally had the Urology appointment in the end I paid privately as it was taking a while but unfortunately it didn't go so well again.

I asked him about my issues with my penis (Peyronie's Disease, Curving, Lumps and swelling under glans) and he said the same as the other Urologist, I saw that I could have surgery but he doesn't recommend it. Regarding other issues he gave me no advice I'm not sure if he knew what they wer. I asked the Urologist about a post on here Its from a guy called None GMO About Peyronie's Disease and that he said in the post he used vibrations from his tooth brush to brake up the plaque. The urologist said it wont work. I'm not sure if I should try it but I'm not sure if it could damage the penis?

I also asked him about penis enlargement but he didn't want to know about it just like the other Urologist.

Another reason why I went to see him was about Testicular Implants because when I had surgery they said they might put them in they didn't so they refferd me to this Urologist but unfortunately that didn't go well ether he said that my scrotum is to small to put some in but he said he'll try but don't get my hopes up. Do you know any way to increase scrotum size with no testicles?

Overall as you can see the appointment didn't go well and that I found the urologist rude and that it was a wast of £170 for a 15 minute appointment.

I have also went to my GP a couple of days after I saw the Urologist and I showed GP Photos and the GP said he has no idea but he would say it is Peyronie's Disease but he said he can't help because he's a GP not a Urologist

The NHS have got me another therapist for the Depression, Body Dysmorphia and other Issues I still go the private one.

I'm not sure if I should create a new post but with pictures of all my penis issues and to see if hopefully people will respond but they haven't for my other posts you were the only one who looked at them.

Since the appointment I've been trying to do some jelqing and stretching exercises and I'm not sure if I'm making it worse it's really hard to tell it feels and looks like I have lost more length and girth and I've got more lumps and its harder to get and maintain erections. Do you think I should be doing jelqing and stretching exercises? I'm just trying to reduce curvature and brake up plaque.

Sorry I'm asking you about all this I was really hopping for help from Urologists and GP

Also I'd like to Thank You for the advice about the dry foreskin as the skin is a lot better now after not washing with shower gel.

Thank You for your help as always and sorry for the long message,

      Ryan

Thanks for your very detailed update: I think it only fair to point out the only part of what you state I am able to comment on is the following:

" Since the appointment I've been trying to do some jelqing and stretching exercises and I'm not sure if I'm making it worse it's really hard to tell it feels and looks like I have lost more length and girth and I've got more lumps and its harder to get and maintain erections. Do you think I should be doing jelqing and stretching exercises? "

      .

If you think you are creating more lumps from the Jlq then you are doing it completely wrong - there is quite a technique to master and if you get it wrong you can, potentially, create a great deal of damage. These in themselves can potentially take a great deal of years to sort themselves out, and some damage can be permanent.

So, totally scrap the way in which you have doing your Jlq - I do not know whether the technique you were using started from the base of your penis and stopped just below the head? - pressure and repetitions are also critical factors.

SO what I did after experiencing regular blood blebs on the head of the penis was to go back to very gentle massage, then, after developing a technique similar to the Jlq I added slightly more pressure.

So it is this process of learning to use gentle massage that I suggest you try to master for 4 to 6 months, during which time you MUST not have damaged your penis any further, or created lumps, before you start to use greater pressure ...

      .

You can update me again in 4 or 5 months time if you like - it is possible I may not play such an active role on this web site - so, after updating your Forum Post here and you do not receive a response form me you can Message me stating you have updated your Forum and could I check it - you will need to include the web page address in your Message to me .....

Hi Wee_Dugie Thanks for the response

The Technique I've been doing is:

      1. Erection between 50-70%
      2. Apply Lubricant I use Coconut Oil
      3. Firm OK grip at base of shaft then slowly working towards the Glans
      4. Stopping half an Inch from the Glans
      5. Repeat (But I stop If I feel any discomfort)

I also try to jelq opposite way to curvatures and make sure that the OK grip isn't to firm.

Just let me know if I'm doing any of this wrong. I've also been trying to do but haven't really started is Stretching exersizes to also help fix Peyronie's and my penis size.

(I find it hard to keep griping the glans)

This is the Technique I know of:

      1. Grip head of penis when Flaccid

(Always Stretching Penis to comfortable length)

      2. Stretch and Hold Straight for 15 seconds
      3. Relax 10 seconds
      4. Stretch and Hold to the Right 15 seconds
      5. Relax 10 seconds
      6. Stretch and Hold to the left 15 seconds
      7. Relax 10 seconds
      8. Stretch and Hold Upwards 15 seconds
      9. Relax 10 seconds
      10. Stretch and Hold Downwards 15 seconds

Then Overtime I would Stretch for longer and more angels.

Because I have a Upward and Right curvature I would skip those direction.

Also what do you think about me trying to use a toothbrush vibrations to brake up plauqe and do you think its worth me creating a new post for advice and help?

Thank You for your advise and help,

      Ryan

So the thing with mastering techniques is finding ways that prevent damage or even minor injuries - because of this you have to be gentle in the extreme then build on that.

Would you say you have achieved any benefit from what you have tried so far ..... ?

No, I don't think the toothbrush would achieve much, and of course you could try a new forum post - but I have not found many men discussing these issues on this web site ....
