Swimming, good or bad?

Hi All

Up to about a year ago I went swimming once a week, but since the worsening of cs I stopped. Recently I started again as an Osteopath friend said as long as I didn't do breastroke and stuck to crawl with my head positioned correctly it should be alright. But the next day I seem to have a fuzzy head and get light headed rushes. Not sure whether this is connected or if I am imagining it, as it doesn't happen every time. Does anyone else swim?

    Hiya \"aitch\" smile

I can't swim  but, at the pain clinic last year, I mentioned to the doc that I was willing to take swimming lessons, to undertake some form of exercise to try and tackle my weight problem since giving up smoking since my op. The doc said he didn't think it would be a good idea for me to swim, however he did say that I could 'walk' in the water. Err I haven't been for a walk yet, can't bear the the thought of me in a swim suit!! AAaaaarrrrggg!!

    Hi Em

Thanks for your info, I could give 'walking' a go although I know I will want to swim  when I get in there. Perhaps I'll just stick to normal outdoor walking. Just put more clothes on with this weather instead of taking them off! I'm liking the 'aitch' hmm..... think I will adopt that!

    Hiya Aitch :D

The only exercise I get is walking around out town centre, I try to get out every day for an hour, that's the limit of exercise for me.

Your welcome to the 'Aitch'
