I've always continued swimming, apart from when I've had wounds from surgery. HS is not contagious, although I have been questioned by pool staff before

No that's kinda like saying taking a bath would spread it and I take Epson slat baths all the time. My issue with swimming is the swim suit showing my hs sad

I am 44 years old and have suffered with this since I was 19 years old. I have been married for 20+ years and have never inflicted anything on my husband. I think it's safe to say it's not contagious.

    HS is not contagious.

Everyone has their own microbial flora on their skin so swimming pools contain chlorine to kill all this bacteria.

A lot of people find relief in bleach baths and a swimming pool is the same thing just on a larger and public scale. And similarly, people have found the pool to be soothing.

What about catching infections or bacteria from swimming in a public pool with open wounds? Like hep c for example? Wouldn't that be possible?
