Switchihg from methotrexate?

im 16 years old, i got diagnosed with JIA with a few months ago. Ive been on methotraxate up until this point, but after getting the stomach flu, ive been getting violently ill upon taking it, vomiting, the whole nine yards. ive always had trouble with maintaing a steady weight, and my ribs and hips have started to stick out even more than before and im terrified and disgusted by the way that i have changed physically as a result of being sick. ive tried zofran, ive done the injections, and im on folate. does anyone have any similar experinces or have switched from methotrexate who can detail the process of switching?
