    Hi victoria

each ssri has a equivilent dosage to each other .... for example 100mg sertaline is equivilent to 40mg of citrapram .... so its important you dont exceed that dose

a direct switch shouldnt be a problem but remember allthough ssri,s belong to the same family of medication each have very slight chemical make up ..... so you will get different side effects and results from each one

i would take the 20mg first and see how that goes and then ( with your doctors permission ) increase to 40mg after 2 weeks ..

hope this helps and best wishes
