Switching from citalophram to sertraline

Hi everyone,

My doctor put me on off brand celexa (20mg) in August of last year for GAD, then decided on my own doing right before Christmas to cut to half which is basically nothing. A couple of weeks went by and my anxiety instantly went into a spiral. I could not function, I thought I was literally dying!! Fast forward, to January, he switched me to 50mg of sertraline and I've been on that for almost 6 weeks. I can definitely see improvement in my appetite, sleep, and doing daily activities but randomly throughout the day my anxiety will hit me and I will get this surge of feeling like nothing around me feels real. Also, I am HUGE hypochondriac and have also been having a constant worry that something more serious might be wrong inside my head despite reassurance from doctors. I guess what I'm trying to find out on here is if anyone has any experience similar to mine from going off an AD on your own?
