Switching from escitalopram to sertraline...

i have been on escitalopram for 8 weeks with no change for the better. My G.P has now prescribed sertraline instead. I am very nervous of the change over and side effects that i might get. I am going to wean myself off escitalopram this week and start on sertraline next week. Has anyone else done this? Thank you!

      hello

i think you need to get through 6-8 weeks before the effect would be noticed. I had sweats for the first 2-3 weeks, nausea and generally felt not that great. That improved but i felt no improvement in my mood. Stick with it a while longer.
