switching from Olanzapine to Seroquel

Switching from Olanzapine to Seroquel after twenty years has made me gain weight and have a bad case of insomnia.

It's been almost 2 months since the switch and even with prescription sleeping pills I only get 3-4 hours of sleep every night.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? if so, what did you do? Does Melatonin help?

Thank you

I'm currently going through this now. I took Olanzapine for 'two months'.. after stopping it, I couldn't sleep at ALL. So the doctor prescribed Mirtzapine and sleeping pills... no matter what I do, I don't seem to get more than 4 hours of 'broken sleep'.

it's been 2 months now and still struggling with sleep, I wake up feeling tired and feel like I've not slept at all.

olanzapine has ruined my sleep and my life seeing as I just cant enjoy things I used to enjoy before.
