Swollen Earlobe after MMA training - will blood in earlobe get absorbed or form clods?

Posted , 1 user is following.

Dear friends,

Can someone advice on steps - or referral - to deal with a swollen earlobe to avoid potential hardening and subsequent deformation of my earlobe?

I got the trauma on Sunday 3rd November around 5:45pm during MMA training.

Today, on Monday 4th November, I’ve had a hospital appointment and have been advised by the ENT doctor that a) there is some blood inside the earlobe [the syringe insertion was done to establish the presence of blood but this didn’t progress to drainage] b) it’s not hematoma c) I should call the hospital back if ear condition worsens in the next week or two.

**My concern is: what if the condition (particularly the shape) of the ear does not go back to normal? Must something be done urgently now to reduce the risk of blood clotting? **

I’m grateful for your comments in this matter.

Kind Regards

Kristina
