Swollen esophagus/throat

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis about a year ago and was put on 35mg of Risedronate Sodium. It make my osophegus swell and it's an embaressment to try and eat when I go out with my friends. In fact I dread every meal time. I have lost weight because chocolate, ice cream and all things bad slip down easy enough but bread or steak toamto's eggs, These things I really struggle with. Does anyone know of an alternative.? thanks Bebe

Shouldn't we start a new thread for this continuing discussion? Given the specific title of bebe82419's post, all of this information that doesn't pertain to it will be hard for anyone to locate in future. I don't know how to start the new thread; does moderator usually do this?

I suggest you start a new post with an appropriate heading.  Your words could include a reference to the heading of this post so interested readers could get the back story.  All you have to do to start is click the green button which says start a new discussion....

I'm not even sure what I'd call it. The thread seems to be a chat about myriad non-bisphosphonate approaches. The posts are kind of all over the place.

Hmmm.  There must be a common thread?  We are all trying to educate ourselves.  Maybe something like "Things I wish I'd known"  ??!!  lol

      Right!

Alison how about "Things I wish I'd known about

      (pick one)

      bones

      osteoporosis

      bone health

      keeping my bones healthy

      something else???

Personally, I find this forum most helpful when replies within a thread are kept relatively specific to a post with a title or a question. I am rather skeptical that anyone really knows how to keep bones healthy. That doesn't mean that diet, exercise, vitamins, etc., aren't worth addressing. However, I'd not feel comfortable creating a thread that implied there were known ways to keep bones healthy.

Then find a way to inject that skepticism into the title?  Or ask a question like:  How can we improve our bone health?
