swollen eyelids

I am also taking Levothyroxine. Has anyone experienced swollen eyelids from taking this. I wake in the morning and my eyes look fine. After taking the Levo my eyelids will become puffy within a half hour of taking this. I have been on Levo for 7 months and this seems to have started about a month ago. Am I crazy?

I also take levo, but I haven't experienced the swollen eye lids, but my legs and feet swell all the time and I am in so much pain. Its like levo intensify my chronic pain. My GP said that's normal.

Shelia, I'm pretty sure the levo causes fibromiagya, or at least the symptoms of fibromiagya. I haven't bothered to get a fibromiagya diagnosis bc there isn't really any treatment for it.

Everyone I've met who's been in the levo at mid or high dose has developed chronic pain/ fibromiagya.

My body swelled so bad, it looked like I was having heart failure.

Your doc doc says this is normal?

I have chronic pain and I see a pain and management specialist, I also have degenerative bone disease. Seem like levo is intensifying the pain. I am on 125mcg.

Hi Meg, you're right to be concerned.

I care for my mother and she's been having endocrine difficulties. One of the things that's come up recently is the severely swollen eyelids. This seems to be related to kidney problems and I've been taking her to acupuncture for relief.

I had glad to get my mom off the zillions of drugs she'd been on, as they all seem to cause liver  and kidney failure.  One of them, of course was levothyroxin. In the fallout, it wasn't soon enough, since she's still got obvious symptoms of severe kidney problems. Strangely, the blood work they've done for kidney, shows only borderline abnormalities, while her symptoms indicate diar problems.

for me, while on the levo, I was so sick and swollen everywhere that I wouldn't have singled out the eyelids, though I'm sure they were at least puffy.
