Swollen glands and very weird symptoms

Clogged ears, swelling under jaw line mainly on right side . And small knot in neck I’m assuming lymph node.. and tiny one right behind right ear. It’s like at the bottom of right ear.. my left side of my face has been very strange too on and off.. a lil numb sometimes.. this happened last year and I was scared to death thinking cancer, and they ran some test and thought I was crazy and told me I need anxiety meds! They said they think it’s just allergies.. I never heard of allergies doing this for this long with these weird symptoms and feelings plus tiny knots.. has anyone experience anything like this please help.. I don’t do anything but think about this all day, my new health plan don’t kick in until the first .

Hi John. It wouldn't hurt getting tested for the most common allergens. Your dr can issue a test. I've got allergies and get blocked ears all the time. I have to get them syringed every 4 months or so. Recently I had the flu and have had swollen glands and a stiff neck since. I've been taking magnesium (great for muscles) and it's helped a lot. Also maybe get on some multivitamins. Having blocled ears can make other head symptoms feel worse. Maybe get them syringed at the dr? I'm also thinking of getting a new pillow. Hope this helps a little.

You said it happened last year? Has it been persistent since or just reoccured now? Any nasal congestion, itchy eyes etc? I'd start by ruling things out so allergy test first since your doc already suggested it. I often feel like I have head cold symptoms with my allergies. As we talk I have a headache, blocked ears, stiff neck and swollen glands. Allergies are nothing to sneeze at (pun) in how they can make you feel awful or manifest in other symptoms that one might not think of. If you can rule them out with a blood test then you could ask your doctor to investigate your concerns further smile

Ok I’ll ask him to check that out too.. but yes this happened last year out of nowhere, then it went away .. then it just hit me again like 3-4 weeks ago.. also my eyes have be twitching too.. I wouldn’t be concerned if that tiny knot behind my ear didn’t appear .. or the tiny knot in my neck that might have already been there..  one thing for sure is stressing makes it worse!  I just been so scared of salivary gland cancer or something along those lines.

I have had the same problem and concerns. The bumps are usually lymph nodes that become swollen due the infection symptoms of the allergies. Your regular physician should monitor usually done by blood work
