Swollen Glands in neck? PLEASE READ!

So a few days ago i had some neck pain, mostly stiffness. I shrugged it off. But then the next day, it started throbbing and twitching. Then my wrist started feeling achy and so was my legs..it was like cramps. This is happening on my left side by the way. So the "swollen gland" is feeling so weird and is twitching  and throbbing that im constantly holding my neck. My cheeks, nose, and eyes are feeling fuzzy. I also sometimes have to rub my eyes. A few times i get throbbing like headaches.

I wouldnt say that my throat hurts but, I have thick mucus which is sometimes hard to swallow and have the feeling of a lump in my throat. Sometimes feel a crackling when i swallow. I also sometimes get a little bit dizzy or unbalanced.

The "swollen" gland is a little bit red, and isnt really a lump, but is stretched and tender. The gland on my armpit is also feeling a bit squishy.  I went to the doctor and she prescribed antibiotics (only took 1) she is also checking if there is an infection.

Im also having GERD like symptoms....so i feel miserable.

SOMETIME HELP ME KNOW WHAT THIS IS.

I have had the swollen neck gland for over a year. I feel like I can't swollow on the right side. I have facial twitching. Severe pain in my face. Its like the nerves are inflamed. I have constant drainage. The doctors tell me its from smoking. I don't think so. They have never done a ct scan or xray. Right now I'm on my second antibiotic because the drainage has become so bad. In order to stay out of pain I am on 80 mg of prednisone, Tramadol, breathing treatments spiriva. I am very worried about when the prednisone is done because the pain is horrible. I only have a small sliver of my thyroid. Because I had large goiders on it. I have never had stomachs problems but now constant intejestion. I am either constipated or I have the runs. It is aweful. I have pain in my stomache. I have other medical conditions but they don't explain this. Even my lung doctor said he didn't understand why my lymph nodes were swollen but now everybody is like oh its infection again and I know its not.

I am actually pretty sure it was some type of infection. When I took the antibiotics, the pain and symptoms went away (regarding to the neck issue). Sorry for replying so late, havent logged on in about 2 years, yikes!

I was wondering if anyone has any idea what could be wrong with my bf he can't move his neck no matter how hard he try's and in his left neck his gland is swollen? I had some antibiotics that I did google to see if would help with like a sinus infection thinking maybe that's what it could be cause I've had them that bad but wanted to see if anyone had other thoughts?

I would have to advise to go the ER.  Sounds like sever neck stiffness which could be a symptom of meningitis.  This could be something pretty serious and does not sound like a sinus infection to me.  So yes, if he cannot move his neck, no matter how hard he tries, go to the ER or call your doctor as soon as possible.
