Swollen hemorrhoidectomy looks like my old hemorrhoid, sore and angry 15 days after, anyone else?

Hello! I had an external hemorroid removed 15 days ago and the site of incision is swollen like a mohawk on my butthole. it looks like a hemorroid, and is more annoying than the original roid. The stitches have mostly dissolved and today I took a picture to see and the wound is slightly open
I had a hard bowel movement few days after surgery as the pain meds bound me up even though I took my fiber and all that jazz.
I am worried that I ruined the surgery, and either gave myself a new hemorroid, or the surgery is just going to leave me with a nasty annoying skin tag.
I would appreciate anyone's feed back on this issue. I have looked and looked online and cannot find any information as to this specific complaint.
thank you so much!

It might be infected, then it will turn to a skin tag 😦 Not all surgeries will work, sometimes it will come back. Talk to your doctor and see what they can do. Happy to answer any questions as I have had it done 3 times.

really!?! I never had any signs of infection. and the pain went away relatively fast..... but then anything can happen. especially when you cant really see it! lol
honestly the worst part about this whole experience is that darn lump down there. did you have lumps after your surgeries?

like skin tags. should not have used the word lump. they just feel like lumps so agitated.

Sounds like you are describing a skin tag. I had 1 removed 5 months after my hemorrhoidectomy. I'm still not perfect but much happier & better looking so I am done with the slicing.
Don't freak out yet though. 15 days...you aren't even healed yet. I still had swelling 6 weeks out. For now, take care of yourself & keep those bowels soft. Let yourself fully heal. It is a long process & sucks.
