Swollen/Loose Knee.. Very Curious. What injury?

Fell and twisted my knee pretty badly about 8 years ago.. it swelled up to the size of a grapefruit and I had to keep it bent at about 5 degrees. If I tried to straighten it, I could feel my tendon behind my knee get super tight, when I would release I could feel the tension relax.

Long story shorter... I never went to the hospital. The swelling went down almost a month later and I could completely walk without limping around after 3 months.

Now my knee feels loose, almost like it will fall off or come unhinged maybe 4 times a week, for a better part of that day.

I am planning on scheduling an MRI on both because I just recently twisted and popped my left knee and it is inflamed a little.

Does anyone have an idea or know what kind of injury I suffered in my right knee years ago????

Very Curious.

thank you

You definitely need to a doctor but sounds like you damaged the ACL. Possibly a partial tear. Probably also tore your meniscus as well. You'll need an MRI to be sure but that's what it sounds like to me.
