Swollen Lump in Bellybutton

Posted , 2 users are following.

Has anyone every experienced a swollen lump in their bellybutton? It’s pretty painless and larger than the size of a pea. I noticed it couple months ago and my husband is insistent on me getting it checked. I also have some painless, hard swollen nodes in my left groin region probably a little larger than a nickel in size.

No pain and I’m not sick so...Any ideas?

I would have it checked out since it's been there a couple months. I have had swollen lymph node issues in my head/neck area so I've been to the Dr a lot for this issue lately haha. From what I've been told, lymph nodes being swollen are a sign your body is fighting something. And they tend to drain from the area of problem, so for example there could be some sort of infection in your pelvic area at the moment and thats why the nodes in that area all swollen. But it doesn't always mean infection, it could be any kind of inflammation. My dr believes my head/neck lymph nodes are actually related to the acne on my face and dandruff on my scalp. So strange right? But I've seen my reg Dr, an ENT, Dermo, and even an oncologist now haha just to have a variety of opinions, and they all agree on that as the cause.

Thanks for the response. I actually do have thyroid cancer that did spread to my lymph nodes and am actively receiving treatment, but thought these swollen nodes seemed oddly placed, so to speak.
