Swollen lymph node

For about 3 months now I have had severe left ear pain and make a my face and neck feel swollen along with the ear. Been to doctor and ENT and they both said it was tmj. I was referred to a pain clinic Nd when she evaluated me ahe said it isn't tmj but I have some issues with my lymph nodes and to go back to doctor. Would it cause the severe pain in the war. I can't lay on that side and feels like knife stabbing pain. Any advice be great. Thanks

    You need to have a scan done, MRI find out what is going on.

    I went to doctor today and he thinks it is my muscle that runs along my jaw and ear that attaches to the jaw bone but did say I have some lymph node issue. I am due to have an ultrasound of the soft tissue in my face and ne,l.
